About Tailor's Touch

About our studio

We reshape garments with practical planning, clear communication, and fit checks that respect the original construction.

Garment remodelling with a careful eye

Tailor's Touch focuses on tailoring, alterations, and garment remodelling for pieces that need a better fit or a new purpose. Each project starts with an inspection of the fabric, seams, and overall condition so the work can be discussed clearly before anything begins.

Our studio supports redesign consultations, dress and skirt remodelling, shirt and jacket restyling, vintage-garment fit updates, and fabric-reuse accessory projects. We work by appointment in Samarinda and keep the process straightforward from inquiry to collection.

Our story

How we work

Built around garment remodelling and upcycling, our work is guided by what the existing piece can realistically support.

Tailor's Touch was founded in 2016 by Rizky Prabowo with a simple idea: garments can often be adjusted, refreshed, or remade instead of replaced. That approach remains central to the studio today.

For redesign projects, we review the garment and any materials first, then outline the concept scope and quote before work begins. When needed, supplementary materials are quoted separately, and concept approval is required before production.

At collection, each finished garment is checked again so any small final adjustment can be handled carefully without changing the agreed design. Care and pressing notes are also shared to help the garment last longer after the work is complete.

Values behind every project

Our process is designed for realistic results, clear approvals, and garments that stay useful for longer.

01

Assessment first

We begin with a garment assessment, because fit and redesign options depend on construction, fabric condition, and the available seam allowance.

02

Clear project scope

We explain the scope clearly before starting, including what can be adjusted, what may be limited, and how the project will move forward.

03

Thoughtful remodelling

We support remodelling and upcycling with practical material choices, including original thread and trim matching where it is available.

04

Fit and finish

We finish with a fit check at collection and share care notes so the garment can be worn and maintained with confidence.
